Application of piezoelectric materials in the field of bone: a bibliometric analysis

In the past 4 decades, many articles have reported on effects of piezoelectric effect bone formation and research progress biomaterials in orthopedics. The purpose this study is to comprehensively evaluate all existing latest developments field piezoelectricity, explore potential directions area. To assess overall trend over 40 years, collected literature reviews using a retrieval program, applied bibliometric methods visual analysis CiteSpace R language, identified investigated publications based publication year (1984–2022), type literature, country, institution, author, journal, keywords, citation counts. results show that most productive countries are China, United States, Italy. journal with piezoelectricity International Journal Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, followed by Implant Dentistry. authors Lanceros-Méndez S, Sohn D.S.
